Our training facility is the largest private gym in the area in which many clients have already started on their journey to a new happier, healthier, body, mind and spirit within our huge private studio. The Newton Health and Wellness Training Studio is uniquely set up and equipped, utilizing in particular two machines not commonly found anywhere:
The V-balance 10-minute complete core strengthening machine, will not only shred your abdominals but it will also enhance your balance and bone density.
The GYROTONIC® Expansion System will uniquely stretch while it strengthens your muscles. It will also open and recondition the joints of your shoulders, spine, and hips.
Both of these machines are exclusive to our studio and will bring a new flavor to even the most veteran of gym goers. You will be hard pressed to find this equipment anywhere else.
Helping us implement all these new services is our newest staff member, Jason Schlaffer. Jason is a top fitness professional and life coach who focuses on all aspects of a person to create true fitness for all of our clients. Using a unique focus on strength training, mindfulness of breath, stretching, and cardio strength we create the most complete and total body workouts available.

In addition to the new equipment and space available for use at Newton Health and Wellness we are also now offering many new services to aid you in complete and total fitness and health.
All of the optional programs are priced the same as our personal training rates and do not have any additional fees or costs for our clients to incur. They are simply presented as alternatives to the traditional personal training methods other gyms offer which many clients have come to view as boring or ineffective. One of our biggest goals is to provide an exercise experience that people can get excited about and remain interested in. From that goal has stemmed this diverse and unique options package to show the community our ground breaking and unique approaches toward personal fitness. This is just a small sample of the wide array of unique programs we are creating at the Newton Health and Wellness Training Studio. Here is a short list of some of the most popular options we offer.
The Abdominal and Core Chiseler (15 minutes): This program has been painstakingly designed to work the full spectrum of the abdominal and core muscles. It is a fifteen minute additional option to be applied to any of the clients chosen workout programs. Using a few core exercises, and utilizing many more that will be client specific, this particular program will produce gains in leaps and bounds. The cornerstone of movement is the abdominal and core muscles therefore if these muscles are not strong than the body as a whole is weak. A strong core will also help to protect the back from potential injuries and to aid in the recovery from preexisting issues. Some of the fundamental exercises that this program is built upon are as follows: planks, side planks, modified sustained core holds, leg lowers and raises, and the classic sit- up. It is only offered as a fifteen minute session, and if you think you could handle more well then we challenge you to try it just once to truly experience the deepest abdominal burn you have ever felt. The results are phenomenal.
The Trailblazer Session (1/2 hour, 45 min., or 1 hour): This is a seasonal program and is only offered when weather permits. Bring your running shoes, expect to get dirty, and prepare to release some stress! This is an adventure to the great outdoors for a trail running session with your trainer. (If you're looking to get your trainer back for all the work they have made you do then this program is the perfect revenge!) Using tabata interval techniques to achieve optimal fat burning, you will watch the fat melt away as you enjoy the scenery of the eastern deciduous forest. The program is designed to be challenging and relaxing as nature surrounds you and the fresh air invigorates you. The intensity of the workout will be dependent upon each client and their fitness levels.
Explode Into Fitness (1/2 hour, 1 hour): The ultimate in plyometrics programs! Beginning with dynamic stretching each workout will be tailored to each unique client and their goals. Using explosive movements and exercises this program will build incredible cardio strength and tone muscles you never knew you had. Plyometric moves implement a medley of muscles all at the same time so this workout will be total body, and we mean TOTAL body. So prepare to explode into fitness while becoming faster, stronger, more coordinated, and trim down all at the same time!
The Body Weight Challenge (1/2 hour, 1 hour): Without lifting a single weight this program of body weight exercises will challenge even the best athletes. Body weight moves are ideal for clients of all ages and fitness levels because you will only be using your own body to execute these resistance exercises. So, yes parents, this unique program is appropriate for all your children! This program will produce total body strength and sculpting because body weight exercises combine the use of numerous muscles all at once. This workout will strengthen even the smallest of stabilizer muscles and create an all over sense of fitness.
Just The Bands (15 min, 1/2 hour, 1 hour): This is a "bands only" workout so forget the weights. A program designed entirely around the use of elastic workout bands to achieve a full body workout. Elastic band exercises produce resistance in the concentric and eccentric phases of the movements so they will work the full range of each muscle. The exercises in this program are mostly classic moves such as; curls, shoulder presses, flies, and rows. There will also be a sprinkling of body weight exercises to help reach target heart rate and optimum fat burning ranges. It may sound easy to do an entire session with just a few pieces of rubber, but give this one a try and you will discover that the "burn" can go deeper than you ever expected.
The Natural (1/2 hour, 1 hour): A unique take on resistance and cardio strength training. These sessions are all outdoors and instead of conventional equipment the trainer implements things found in nature. (i.e. stones, logs, natural obstacles) Using more natural movements and lifts, this program will create a lean muscular physique. The natural setting of this workout environment will leave you feeling energized and invigorated with an after taste of accomplishment. If you are feeling caged up and a bit wild then The Natural is the unique challenge for you!
Welcome to the Incinerator (15 min. - 1/2 hour sessions only): The ultimate fat burning program! This intense workout is limited to one half hour because the breaks between sets are very short and the repetitions are very high. It is very similar to a CrossFit style workout but with our own personal twist. Designed as a total body program to work every muscle fiber "The Incinerator" will challenge the mind, body, and spirit to soar to new heights. The program is very diverse and will include traditional free weight lifts, cable, elastic band, plyometric, and body weight exercises in addition to a plummeting body fat percentage.
Performance Training (1 Hour): Here it is folks; the bread and butter of our training staff. Without question this is the number one expertise of our trainers. Using skills honed while working with the most elite of athletes, these workouts are designed to create mind numbing quickness combined with impossible dexterity. We implement multiple training styles and methods with a mix of weight training and agility drills to create explosive power and speed. This type of work out is guaranteed to improve the skills of any athlete no matter the sport. Prepare to embarrass your opponents.
Wedding Fitness and Wellness (1 Hour): Our newest edition to the options line up! As you prepare for the biggest day of your life, shouldn't you be preparing your body for the big day as well? Do you want to have a lean and sculpted body in your wedding photos? Do you want toned shoulders and arms for all the guests to admire as you stand upon the alter? Most of all, shouldn't you feel confident and happy when you walk down the aisle at the biggest event of your life? We believe you should! We will help you ignite that confidence as we burn fat and tone muscle. Let our elite fitness experts help you drop dress sizes and tone your body, so you can look even more beautiful in that gown. The Birth of Balance (1/2 hour): This program is designed using stability tools (ex. Bosu half ball, Swiss Ball, Agility Ladder) to facilitate a greater amount of balance and coordination in your life. In addition you will also be burning fat and building muscle! This type of program will create a lean muscular physique, highly toning your muscle while not creating a great amount of size. Since these stability exercises work large muscle groups in addition to incredibly small muscle groups you will see definition that cannot be achieved by any other work out.
